Mr. K.T. Truong is the Executive Chairman, as well as one of the owners of the company. He is one of the co-founders of Ultragen. Mr. K.T. Truong is a senior mechanical and piping engineer with over 45 years of experience in stress analysis and pressure equipment design, particularly in the energy, petrochemical and oil and gas industries. He has also been involved in the design of major pipeline installations as well as numerous projects in the nuclear field. Mr. Truong graduated from Laval University in 1970. He subsequently completed post-graduate studies and obtained a master's degree in Applied Sciences, a Ph.D. in Applied Sciences, a certification in liquefied natural gas and a certification in the nuclear field. He also has numerous publications to his credit. Mr. Truong is a very active member of our technical management team and dedicates his time training and developing our experts.
Mr. Daniel Truong is the Senior Vice President of Ultragen, as well as one of the owners. He has been with Ultragen for over 12 years. He is a mechanical engineer with over 17 years of experience in the petrochemical and energy industries. For several years now, Daniel has been responsible for managing Ultragen's operations and ensuring the sustainability of the company. He has been instrumental in transitioning the company into the future and supporting all talent in their development. He is responsible for driving Ultragen forward in the development and adoption of innovations within the company that will enable Ultragen to deliver value-added projects for our customers for years to come.
Mathieu Beauséjour is a project manager with 16 years of experience. He acquired solid management experience as a mechanical engineer for the National Defense, private industry, and the municipal sector. He then moved into the renewable energy and petrochemical sectors. Mr. Beauséjour graduated from the Royal Military College of Canada in Mechanical Engineering. He then pursued graduate studies and obtained his master’s degree in Project Management. His role with Ultragen is to ensure the smooth running of our Quebec City and Sept-Îles offices in Quebec City and Sept-Îles.
Ms. Geneviève Toupin is the team leader of the Talent Management Group. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Relations, as well as a certificate in Human Resources. Ms. Toupin is responsible for advising and supporting Ultragen's management and employees in all facets of human resources, including leadership and talent development, culture and performance, employee relations and performance management.
Patrice Laurin has over 30 years of professional experience. A graduate of Laval University in Quebec City in mechanical engineering, he is a senior project manager. His vast experience contributes to the successful execution of major projects under Ultragen's responsibility. He is also responsible for major programs and accounts with our clients. He has worked as both a mechanical manager and project engineer in fields such as the petrochemical, renewable energy, mining and metals, pulp and paper, and oil and gas industries to name a few.
Patrice has been with ULTRAGEN for over 15 years. He has filled many roles within our team such as Project Manager, Planned Shutdown Assignments, Discipline Manager for projects of all sizes, Major Project Manager and finally, Service Proposal Manager. Patrice will continue to manage client accounts and oversee the development of service proposals. His ability to communicate well and popularize the technical challenges we face will always be an asset to our group. His good knowledge of the different project delivery modes (EPCM, EPC, etc.) is beneficial to the entire organization.
Patrice has extensive experience in project management and project control. He masters
all aspects, including planning, cost estimating, cost control, construction coordination
and customer relationship management.
